003flam - There are hundreds
of these casetas, nearly all run by private clubs, societies and organisations.
You need an invite to get into one and we were lucky because Ian is a
member of International Rotary. There are open casetas which anyone can
go into but we had difficulty identifying which they were. As well as
being somewhere for the dancing and singing to take place, the casetas
provide food and drink for the members and invitees. This is all free
- although presumably the Society members have paid for it through the
year with their Club subscriptions.
